.Types of training course.
- Weekly - 1 or 2 hrs once a week over a long period of time. This is the traditional way of learning to drive. Advantages are plenty of time to take things at your own pace, more time to save up your money in between lessons. Disadvantages are this can take a long time to pass with only one or two lessons a week and unless you can get private practice as well you will often get 'rusty' in between sesions.
- Intensive - 40 (or more) hours per week with test pre booked - i.e. start driving on Monday and take your test on friday. Advantages are the quickest way to squeeze practice in. Disadvantages are pressure of having a test booked and being able to drive for 6+ hrs a day without getting too tired to benefit.
- Semi intensive - For example 2hrs per day,everyday, over a 3 week period would give you 42 hrs practice. This had the advantages of being condensed enough so that you don't get 'rusty' but also spread out enough to give you a break (driving should be fun!) also if you did pre book a test for the end of the lessons you would still have time to fit in any practice required to give yourself the best chance on your driving test.

From the list above I would recommend a semi intensive approach if possible - obviously this depends on issues like money and time to fit in training. But has the advantage of being flexible i.e. 2hrs every other day or 2hrs in the morning and 2 hrs in the afteernoon.
